Peter is a Mainer, having been born and raised in Augusta, Maine, just 20 miles from their office in Oakland.  Barbara is from the Chicago area.

The Clarks started vacationing with their family in the beautiful Belgrade Lakes area in the early 1980's and have continued to do so ever since.  One of their kids' fondest memories was driving the boat over to Day's Store in Belgrade Lakes to buy groceries and feed the ducks.  The ducks are no longer there, but the memories remain.

Several years ago the Clarks bought a camp on Messalonskee Lake in Oakland, Maine. It was a fixer-upper, but not much of a challenge for Peter, a contractor in Florida for 30 years.

For the past few years, Peter & Barbara explored different business opportunities that would allow them to live in Maine in the summer and Florida in the winter and manage the business from both locations.  Having over 10 years experience managing long-term rentals,  and having rented out their own camp, vacation rentals seemed to be a good choice for their new business.  Hence, the beginning of BELGRADE VACATION RENTALS.
