My family and I spent several summers staying at a private camp on Great Pond back in the 80's and early 90's, and we were very excited to be able to vacation at the lake again. We enjoyed the Octoberfest at Belgrade Lakes, the boys fished, and we had
a general good time in the area. Loon's Nest is a delightful place--we really enjoyed being right at lake's edge. My 2-year-old granddaughter even went in the water, even though it was a little cold for her in early October. Thanks, Barbara, for your guidance
in finding a place that would really suit us. I will add one suggestion, though: the mattress on the kingsized bed in the master bedroom should be replaced. It's very soft and occupants roll to the middle! My son and pregnant daughter-in-law ended up sleeping
on the futon in that room instead of in the bed.
