  My family had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Moose Head Lodge. The home is lovely, clean, well equiped and on a beautiful and private piece of property. The only possible improvement would be a bigger TV for rainy days(it is a small computer screen size in the loft upstairs, and a stable dock (instead of floating) with easier docking (more cleats). We had a 17 foot motor boat and ended up docking it at the end of a T shaped dock and crossing the lines to cleats further down the T. It worked fine once we figured it out. The home has a wonderful wrap around porch with ample furniture and we set up the hammock on the porch as well. 100% satisfied and would rent again. Loved the privacy and the quiet road for running. Also, hiking trails nearby for hikes with your dog. Wonderful vacation.

  Outstanding property. Great location. Beautiful and private. Interior is nicely decorated. Hope to go back again. The property manager was very accomodating so we didn't have to go to her office in Oakland to pick up or drop off keys. Would have liked a fourth bedroom. The loft had a futon in so-so condition - not really a sleeper sofa. Not appropriate for adult guests. Had some plumbing problems that were eventually resolved, but it took several phone calls. The cleats on the dock are not all useable and the ones that are there are not in the right location for an average 14' boat.

  Can't wait to come back next year for longer. Privacy fantastic. Gorgeous spot for family vacation. The house,location to town, running,hiking, biking, boating just wonderful.Great little town with character and New England flavor

  Although It was an incredible vacation at a location to be treasured, I have 2 recommendations for improvement. 1.Office in Oakland(20 miles from property) to pick up keys, linens, etc is extremely inconvenient if you are coming from South and towing a boat.Suggest email directions and have linens and keys waiting at property. 2.Property needs a boat mooring and proper protection on the dock. If you have a nice boat, bring lots of bumpers and anything bigger than 19' is going to be a headache without a mooring.Dock not set up for a family with a nice boat.Other than that, best location on the lake and a beautiful, rustic lake home with all amenities.

  Great place. Had a blast. Everything we expected. The floating dock was unattached. It made for a tough time anchoring boats and swimming. Semi-Dangerous as well. We were told it would be fixed early in the week. No luck. Not fixed before we left.

  Five minute ride on dirt road to get to house was only drawback. Very well equipped, except if you are looking for lots of tv channel selection.
