Pine Beach Bungalow

We enjoyed our stay very much. Cabin interior was open plan for dining/lr/kitchen, which made it seem spacious. Inside photos minimize the actual space available. Outside photos do not show nearness of adjacent cabin. Privacy could be an issue for some
if neighbor's house should be rented out. (Not an issue in 2009) There is no buffer zone and the beach is shared with that property. Outside area is open, as photos show, so not as private and woody as some places. House was so well stocked, that one tiny
disadvantage was finding enough room for stocking our own groceries (but manageable). You don't need to bring any kitchen items. There's all you could need and more! Would like privacy curtain or blinds on slider facing adjacent cottage. Street light behind
cottage shines into bedrooms--could use room-darkening shades.(No prob for us--light sensitive, bring sleep mask!)Lovely spot on lake; small sandy beach for great kayak launching or swimming. Wildlife watching great! Bank of working windows facing lake have
nice shades that allow light but help limit heat...house can get warm in hot weather, but fans in every room help cool down at night. Our two weeks were mostly cool...one hot day made the house heat up ...must use shades on hot days--special shades allow for
views out. Boat mooring for this property was not well designated...one mooring was broken and was up on the land; we used wrong mooring (neighbor corrected us) and we then rigged the broken mooring onto a vacant mooring that may or may not have been the correct
one, but no one ever claimed otherwise. Confusing and must find out about this for 2010. It can get pretty windy on this lake--quite rough--be prepared! It is often a windy spot. Lake is changeable and unpredictable at times. We have vacationed on Great Pond
for 17 years, but this was our first time at this location. Overall, very pleased.
